MANAS

MANAS is an ambitious and over-arching skill development architecture, aimed at providing an all India Level training framework, based upon tie-ups with National/International training organizations (on PPP mode) for imparting training to the minority population, for skills that are currently in demand. It will also provide concessional credit for minority community after meeting their Skilling Needs a for expanding their existing businesses and setting up new businesses. MANAS is a multi-dimensional organization and it includes a special vertical for identifying, supporting, and promoting those arts and crafts of minority community which are getting phased out due to globalization.

Vision "Promoting inclusive development process, by skilling of Minority communities, for providing sustainable livelihoods leading to “SabkaSaath – Sabka Vikas".

Mission "To provide unified access to the Minority communities for Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Training Programmes (E&SDPs) for the skill sets, which are/will be in demand by the market leading to self/wage-employment, with emphasis on entrepreneurship, to promote “Skill India- Mission/ Make in India".

Salient Feature of MANAS

     • Setup as SPV for expanding access to skill development programme for marginalized sections of minority communities – All India collaborative framework (based on PPP mode).

     • Focus on entire spectrum of skill sets in demand by the market meet credit requirement for self employment – wide range of Skill based Courses, of different durations/ levels.

     • Provide a sustainable and scalable model, with great flexibility Training Programmes can be tailor made for implementation in any part of the country, for any skill sets, for any level of training with multiple choices in terms of funding etc.

     • Meet diverse skill training/up-gradation needs of minority communities in terms of Identification, Preservation & Promotion of their traditional arts/crafts, vocations under schemes like HamariDharohar, USTAAD etc.

     • Convergence of Financial & Development activities of the Corporation & Linkages with leading local / national & international organizations for all its activities from training to placements in job/ self employment projects for trainees, for providing high quality skill training.

     • Provides highly transparent, credible and almost leak proof Skill Development Framework, by extensive use of ICT Biometric based attendance system of trainees and trainers, Live CCTV coverage of on ongoing training, highly interactive website providing comprehensive information, to all stake holders.

Objectives

     I. To provide an integrated All India Platform for all stakeholders for providing Skill Training.

     II. On PPP mode, based upon tie-ups with Local/National/International Organisations for imparting Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Training to the Minority population based upon the demands of local/National/International market.

     III. To utilise the Skill Development Architecture of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship by working through NSDC/NSDA/SSC/NSDC training partners etc. and other leading training providers, to ensure standardisation of Training and its outcome.

     IV. To link Concessional Credit of NMDFC/other Financial Institutions with skills training of the Minority communities to promote entrepreneurship, self-employment.

     V. To provide technical & marketing support, through call centre for new entrepreneurs, (KarobaariSalahiyat), and E-commerce portal for online marking support.
